Las Vegas Aces News Release
LAS VEGAS - Tuesday Night, July 11, is Sneakerhead Night at Michelob ULTRA Arena as the Las Vegas Aces host the Phoenix Mercury at 7 pm PT (Purchase Tickets). Fans are encouraged to wear their best sneakers to participate in the in-game Kicks Cam, and the first 5,000 fans through the doors will receive a free pair of Aces socks, presented to them by residents of Opportunity Village.
Fans are encouraged to donate new or lightly-worn shoes that evening in support of Brittney Griner's Heart and Sole initiative, which will be distributed throughout Clark County via Peggy's Attic at Child Haven.
Peggy's Attic is the donation center for Clark County Department of Family Services. When children cannot return home safely, and are placed into protective custody, they have few, if any, of their personal belongings. The Department of Family Services provides clothing, toys and other essential items to children when they depart the Child Haven campus to live with relatives or in a foster home.
Fans who would like to make a separate donation to Peggy's Attic should call (702) 455-5424.
The retail item of the game, Tuesday, is a Las Vegas Aces Wild Collective Sneakerhead Hoodie. The Wild Collective is a Las Vegas-based, female-owned lifestyle brand.
