
Aces Fall, 80-71, to Los Angeles in First Preseason Scrimmage

LAS VEGAS - The Las Vegas Aces dropped an 80-71 decision to the Los Angeles Sparks Sunday afternoon in the first preseason scrimmage for both clubs. The Aces travel to Los Angeles on Saturday, May 8 for their final preseason game. Tip is slated for 1 pm PT.
Both teams employed multiple players in multiple combinations, Sunday, in an effort to merge newcomers with returners.
The WNBA's reigning M'VP, A'ja Wilson, led the Aces with 14 points, while Liz Cambage added 10 after sitting out the 2020 season. JiSu Park, who also sat out 2020, chipped in nine points, while second round draft pick Destiny Slocum was the top-scoring newcomer with 10.
The Aces tip off the 2021 WNBA regular season on May 15 in a 2020 WNBA Finals rematch in Seattle.
