Aces beat Coyotes 3-2

Edinburg, Texas - Alexandria Aces starter Alexis Sosa pitched a complete game as he got his fourth win of the year beating the Edinburg Coyotes 3-2 Saturday at Edinburg Baseball Stadium. Sosa pitched all nine innings allowing just two runs on seven hits. The left-hander struck out three, including the last batter of the game, and walked only one. The Aces scored first in the top of the third on an RBI single by Palmer Karr Jr. The Aces added another in the fourth with a run-scoring single by Luis Guance to give the Aces a 2-0 lead. Karr also prevented a runner from scoring in the fifth. The Coyotes had runners on first and second with two out when Amado German singled to left. Karr then threw out Mayobanex Santana at the plate, who was trying to score from second. The Coyotes cut the Aces lead in half 2-1 with an BRI groundout by Angelo Fermin. Alexandria extended its lead in the sixth when Selwyn Langaigne singled home Bryan Sabatella, giving the Aces a 3-1 lead. The Coyotes struck again in the bottom of the sixth when Amado German hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Daryl Jones and cutting the Aces' lead to 3-2. The Aces will finish their series with the Coyotes Sunday. Game time is 7:05.
