Aberdeen Wings News Release
Weekend Recap
The Wings traveled up North to Minot over the weekend to play a pair of games against the Minotauros. The Wings kept things close in both games but were unable to leave town with a win. Friday night the Wings went down 4-0 in the 2nd period before mounting a come back that ended up falling short 4-3. Scoring for the Wings were; Peter Krieger, Erik Baskin and Emil Blomqvist. Assisting on the goals were Holmquist, Horton, Krieger, and Grebosky. Saturday was more of a back and forth game. The Wings took the lead early only to see Minot come back and take the lead in the 2nd. The Wings were able to retake the lead in the 3rd but a late goal from Minot eventually sent the game into overtime and a shootout where the Wings were unable to hold off Minot. Scoring for Aberdeen Saturday were; Peter Krieger, Patrick Steinhauser and Jake Horton. Assisting on the goals were Mayrhauser, Parizek, Baskin, Cisar and McGing.
