Weekend Recap

The Wings were unable to come away with a victory this past weekend in a home & home series with the Bismarck Bobcats. Friday night at home the Wings fell 4-2 with goals coming from Erik Baskin and Justin Parizek, assisting on the goals were Johnson, Heller, Krieger and Holmquist. Kaufer one of the two new goaltenders was able to make 26 saves on 30 shots. Saturday morning the Wings tested the roads and traveled up to Bismarck where they looked to rebound from the night before. However they were unable to leave town with a W, losing 3-1. Scoring for the Wings was Grebosky with assists going to Blomqvist and Steinhauser. Another new goaltender Catt was in net for the Wings and did a nice job of keeping things close making 34 saves on 37 shots.

Upcoming Events

At this Monday's Coaches show the Wings will be holding a press conference to announce their new head coach! The Aberdeen Wings Coach's Show will be this Monday and every Monday throughout the season from 6-7 at Max & Erma's and is open to the public. Tune into 107.7 or click on the radio link (Headphones on the bottom right side of the page) @ aberdeenwings.com. Sign up for Winger's Kids Club at home games throughout the season! Open to all kids ages 3-12. For $40 they get into 10 home games, a free Wingers Kids Club T-Shirt, 5 visits to the sundae bar at Max & Erma's. The Wings will also be participating in floor hockey this Tuesday evening at the YMCA.

Upcoming Games

The Wings 8-24-4 will travel up North to take on Minot 19-16-3. The Wings have been successful in the past vs. Minot but currently have a 2 game skid against the Minotauros with 2 shootout losses.
