Okicki started the week with a win on the road against the Port Huron Fighting Falcons on Wednesday night at McMorran Arena in Port Huron. During the contest, Okicki made 31 saves while surrendering two goals to the Fighting Falcons. The Concord, Ohio native followed up his stellar performance with another spectacular sixty minutes between the pipes for Kalamazoo, as the 19 year old veteran of the NAHL made 36 stops on 37 shots, and held the Michigan Warriors at bay with good production from his offense, with the Jr. K-Wings picking up two points in a 5-1 victory.

In the last week, Okicki had a 2-0-0 record, made 67 saves on 70 shots for a save percentage of .957% and a goals against average of 1.44. On the season, Okicki has a record of 13-8-2, has posted one shutout, and has a goals against average of 2.77 and complimenting that with a .916%.

"Alex has played very well and has gotten better as the season has gone along. He is a solid goalie and certainly worthy of college attention. Most of all, he is a competitor and gives the team a lot of confidence," said Kalamazoo head coach Marc Fakler.

The Jr. K-Wings will take the ice again on Saturday, January 19th, as they welcome the second-place Jamestown Ironmen to the Borgess Health Rink inside Wings West.
