Aberdeen, MD - Jake Holton went 2-for-4 for his fourth multi-hit game of the season, but the Connecticut Tigers (7-11) fell 4-0 to the Aberdeen IronBirds (7-11).

Wes Noble (Loss, 0-1) got the start for Connecticut. Noble went three innings giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts.

The IronBirds got the scoring started with a solo-home run from Zach Watson on the first pitch of the bottom of the first.

Toby Welk brought home a run in the third on a single to make it 2-0.

Aberdeen added to their lead in the fourth on a throwing error by Jake Baker on a pick-off move to first, which allowed the runner from third to score. Baker totaled the second-highest strikeout number of his pro career with five.

Ian Evans added to the IronBirds' lead with an RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth. Griffin McLarty (Win, 1-0) pitched two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. The Tigers totaled four hits in the contest.

The Connecticut Tigers are back in action tomorrow in the series opener against the Vermont Lake Monsters. Fireworks presented by Liberty Bank will follow the Fourth-Of-July contest.
