JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Phillies prospects Mick Abel and Andrew Painter combined to throw 13 scoreless innings as the BlueClaws swept a double-header from Hudson Valley, winning 8-2 and 2-0. Last week, the pair each threw six scoreless innings and today added 13 more.
Game One
Mick Abel (7-6) threw six scoreless innings to earn his seventh win of the season, adding eight strikeouts in an 8-2 BlueClaws win over Hudson Valley at ShoreTown Ballpark.
Jersey Shore got three runs in the first inning on RBI singles from Madison Stokes, Jared Carr, and Baron Radcliff. Lee Sang added a home run in the second, his ninth of the year and first with the BlueClaws.
Two innings later, Luis Garcia hit his first home run of the season, a two-run shot to right that gave the BlueClaws a 6-0 lead.
Lee Sang hit his second home run of the day in the bottom of the sixth to give the BlueClaws an 8-0.
Abel came out after six scoreless innings and Erubiel Armenta gave up a two-run home run to Jasson Dominguez in the top of the seventh for the two Renegades runs.
Sang ended the day with four hits, two of which were home runs, in the win.
Game Two
Andrew Painter (2-0) threw a complete game shutout in the nightcap, striking out 11 as the BlueClaws took game two 2-0.

The BlueClaws broke through in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Casey Martin and added a run in the sixth on a groundout by Herbert Iser.
In sweeping the double-header, the BlueClaws snapped a 15-game home losing streak that dated to June 16th.
Ethan Wilson had two hits and scored both BlueClaws runs.
The teams finish the series on Sunday at 1:05 pm.
