
Abdi Mohamed Signs Professional Contract; Joins Memphis 901 FC on Season-Long Loan

New York City FC are pleased to announce that 2019 MLS SuperDraft 2nd round selection Abdi Mohamed has signed his first professional contract with the Club.
Mohamed will join Memphis 901 FC on a season-long loan for the 2019 season.
NYCFC will have the right to recall Mohamed at any time during the loan period.
The 22-year old defender was drafted by NYCFC in the 2nd round (43rd overall) of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
Mohamed appeared in all 24 matches for the University of Akron in 2018 as he helped lead the Zips to the College Cup Final. Over the course of the season, Mohamed scored one goal and added five assists.
