South Alabama Bounce News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has added the South Alabama Bounce to the roster of teams getting set to begin play in November. According to ABA CEO Joe Newman, "We're very excited about this team, about the ownership group, and how they complement our southern divisions. The owner, Victor Calhoun, has extraordinary experience as the owner of the Evergreen Jaguars, an indoor professional football team - and has in place a full marketing staff, sponsors, and momentum. This will be a great addition to the ABA. Victor also has a background in concert and rodeo promotions and will work to produce some exciting creative events for ABA Entertainment."

"We're also very excited to be a part of the ABA and to be able to bring the Bounce to South Alabama. We'll be making our home base the great city of Mobile and we are looking forward to working with the corporate and business community, and mostly, the people of Southern Alabama in making this venture one that will make Alabama proud," added Calhoun. "We will offer fast, fun, friendly, exciting sports and entertainment at affordable prices and will have a team featuring players with state and local ties."

The South Alabama Bounce has formed an operations team that will produce a quality product and has promised to build a new tradition of excellence.
