The Wranglers will return home this Friday for another short three-game series, this time against the San Antonio Missions. Even though the homestand is short, there will be no shortage of fun!

Friday Night Bash is back! Gates open at 5:00 for $2 Jack & Cokes and Margaritas as well as food specials and live music until 6:45. And the fun doesn't stop there! Catch the hilarious antics of the Zooperstars! during the game.

Koch Industries Youth Baseball Clinic
The Koch Industries Youth Baseball Clinic is back on Sunday, June 5th! All youth aged 6-12 can take part in this special FREE baseball clinic to learn the tricks of the trade from Wranglers players and coaches. The clinic takes place at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium from 2:00-4:30 and participants are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes early dressed in appropriate attire with their own baseball glove, although one is not required to participate. As well as instruction from professional baseball players, all participants will receive a mini-bat, a chance for player autographs and a ticket to that night's game vs. San Antonio. To reserve your spot at the 2005 Koch Industries Youth Baseball Clinic, call Alden at (316) 267-3372. Early registration ends Friday, June 3rd.
Make Plans to Play Hooky from Work
Join us on Wednesday, June 15th for a special day game at 11:00am. The Wranglers will be taking on their division rivals the Tulsa Drillers as they make a push to win the first half. We invite you to come down to the stadium to enjoy a fabulous buffet-style lunch and a great Texas League baseball game. We're sure you will work that much harder when you get back to work! In fact, bring the whole office down...a happy staff is a productive staff! (Group rates are available for 20 or more.)
Wichita Wranglers Team Up with Wichita Public Library
The Wichita Wranglers are teaming up with the Wichita Public Library this summer as part of their 2005 Summer Reading Program. Wilbur T. Wrangler and Wrangler players will be making appearances at the various Wichita library branches throughout the summer. If you would like to find out how to sign up for the Wichita Public Library's Summer Reading Program and get more information about the Wranglers' visits, visit the Wichita Public Library website at www.wichita.lib.ks.us . Registration begins June 1st and runs through July 31st.
Wrangler Road Recap
The Wranglers have gone three-for-three since leaving town last Thursday, taking the series win (their fifth straight) over San Antonio (3-1) and losing their first two contests in Corpus Christi this week. The will continue their four game series against the hooks on Wednesday and Thursday before returning home for a three-game series with the Missions on Friday. The Wranglers continue to battle for first place in the East Division with only 18 games left to play, 12 of them being at home with five of those against Tulsa. Wichita currently sits 7.0 games behind the Drillers at 26-26. They are 6-4 in their last 10 games.
While on the road Josh Pressley returned from his 15-game suspension to go 4-for-13 with two homers, including a 3-for-3 performance on May 28th vs. the Missions. Kyle Middleton continued to dominate on the mound, earning is sixth win of the season on May 28th, giving up only one unearned run, five hits, one walk and striking out six. Kyle's ERA now sits at 2.59 which is good for 4th place on the Texas League Top 10 Pitchers list. He is also 1st in the league in innings pitched with 73.0.
Also climbing the Texas League charts are Justin Huber (2nd in BA: .344; 1st in OBP: .439), Josh Pressley (5th in BA: .323) and Cory Aldridge (1st in HR: 12).
