A Week Of Giving At First Arena
December 6, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release
Friday's Teddy Bear Toss and 4 for $44 Night and Saturday's Toys for Children Night at First Arena highlight the upcoming week for the Atlantic Division leading Elmira Jackals.
The Jackals host the Trenton Devils in both home games on Friday and Saturday at 7:35 p.m. Elmira is in Trenton on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. tilt with the Devils and is also on the road this Sunday in Reading for a 5:05 p.m. game with the Royals.
TEDDY BEAR TOSS AND TOYS FOR CHILDREN DETAILS
The Jackals will have their annual Teddy Bear Toss night this Friday, as fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears and throw them onto the ice when Elmira scores its first goal of the game against Trenton.
On Saturday, the Jackals will host Toys for Children night. The first 100 fans who bring a toy for donation to the game will receive a t-shirt courtesy of the Pembrook Pines Media Group.
Jackals players will donate the teddy bears and toys to children in an appearance at St. Joseph's Hospital on Dec. 14. Remaining teddy bears and toys will then be donated to local area foster children.
The Teddy Bear Toss is a longstanding tradition in minor league hockey and has had success in the ECHL already this season as the Bakersfield Condors collected 6,300 teddy bears on their annual Teddy Bear Toss night at the end of November.
4 FOR $44 ALSO THIS FRIDAY
Elmira's annual 4 for $44 night is this Friday as well, with packages still remaining for the event.
For $44, fans will receive four blue or red zone tickets to the game, four chuck-a-pucks, four hot dogs, four sodas, four tanning sessions at your local DarkTan, and four side kicks of ribs or shrimp at Texas Roadhouse.
Fans looking to purchase this incredible package, originally valued at $130 but on sale for $44, may contact First Arena at (607) 734-PUCK (7825) or visit the First Arena Box Office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
