 Charlottetown Islanders

A Letter Regarding Season Tickets

October 14, 2020 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Charlottetown Islanders News Release

To our season ticket holders, particularly those who did not receive tickets this season,

We've heard lots of feedback regarding yesterday's announcement that tickets are sold out for the season. We truly understand the disappointment and frustration some of you are feeling; quite frankly, we feel equally as disappointed and equally as frustrated. We want to have all our season ticket holders at the Eastlink Centre, and sincerely wish it were possible.

In a typical season, we have approximately 1540 season ticket holders. This season, with social distancing restrictions in place, it is only possible for us to have 970 fans in the Eastlink Centre. Between early bird ticket sales, corporate sponsorships, and a handful of people at the top of the waiting list, we reached that number before we were able to go back on sale to the general public.

Because of the limited access to the Eastlink Centre, we've been working with a number of local partners to ensure that your Islanders are more accessible than ever away from the arena. As announced last week, all 60 regular season games are being shown at The Factory Downtown or Boston Pizza. In addition, Eastlink TV recently announced that 23 of our games will be aired on Eastlink Channel 610, including 15 home games, more than any season before. As always, all Saturday night broadcasts being aired on Ocean 100, while all other radio broadcasts will be available on Fair Isle Ford Isles Radio on YouTube.

Finally, all games are available on the QMJHL Live Webcast. If you're a season ticket holder who missed out on season tickets, please email Jason Maclean at jason@charlottetownislanders.com and he will provide you with a 50% off promo code to be used on the Webcast.

Rest assured, when we're clear of the COVID-19 pandemic, you will have access to the seat that you've always had.

We hope you follow along as much as possible this season, and hope even more that a solution comes soon that allows us to have more fans in the Eastlink Centre.

Once again, we sincerely thank you for your support!

Craig Foster, President of Operations

Jason Maclean, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Katie Ramsay, Director of Administration
