March 24, 2010 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, March 24, 2010) - Chivas USA announced today that it will present fans with one of the most comprehensive broadcast packages in Major League Soccer history, with every one of the team's 30 MLS matches available in both English and Spanish. Local broadcasts will air in English on PRIME TICKET (14 games) and FOX Sports West (1 game), as well as KDOC (5 games). In Spanish, matches will be available locally on KWHY (15 games). National television partners, which will cover the balance of the games, include ESPN2/ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports en Español, and TeleFutura. Additionally, every one of Chivas USA's 30 MLS matches in 2010 will air on W Radio 690 AM in Southern California.

"We are thrilled to present our fans with the best broadcast package in franchise history," said Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn Hunter. "We are glad to have back Prime Ticket and FS West, who have been with us since day one, and would also like to welcome KDOC and KWHY to the Chivas USA family. These are great partners that will continue to help us both serve and grow our fan base in Southern California."

The Red-and-White will return to the PRIME TICKET/FS West family of networks for the sixth season, and this year will have Christian Miles returning to serve as the team's play-by-play announcer, with Allen Hopkins debuting on Chivas USA coverage as the color commentator. The 2010 season marks the first time all 15 games on the regional sports networks - 14 on PRIME TICKET and one on FS West - will be available in high definition.

For the first time, Chivas USA will also have English-language telecasts available over-the-air, on KDOC-TV in Southern California. Five matches will air on KDOC and will feature the same broadcasting team as the matches on PRIME TICKET and FS West.

Chivas USA will also include a complete broadcast schedule in Spanish, with local coverage on KWHY-TV, channel 22. With 15 matches on KWHY, including the opening game of the season, the Spanish-language coverage in 2010 will be the most complete in team history. Broadcasters on KWHY will be veterans Rigo Cervantez and Hipólito Gamboa, who will also be covering matches for W Radio 690 AM, entering its third year as the official radio partner of Chivas USA. Every 2010 match will be on W Radio and will include 30-minute pregame and postgame shows, giving fans three hours of Chivas USA coverage for every match.

All matches that are not available locally will be broadcast nationally on either ESPN2/ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports en Español, or TeleFutura. A full Chivas USA schedule with complete broadcast information is available below.
