
D.C. United Announces 2010 Camp Schedule

Washington, D.C. (March 24, 2010) - D.C. United today announced its 2010 Summer Camps schedule which provides a fun and safe soccer environment for youth to develop solid fundamental technical and tactical skills. D.C. United has established itself as a leader in youth development and strives to identify and develop key players in the community that could advance to play for D.C. United's first team.
D.C. United offers Summer Camps for players of all skill levels, from beginner to elite athlete. Camp coaches instruct using age-appropriate technical and tactical exercises designed by D.C. United Technical Director, Chad Ashton. Players are put in an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camps games, challenging skills demonstrations, and small-sided competitions.
A variety of camp options include the following: Full & Half Day, Elite Level Training, Striker & Goalkeeper, Private Team Training, and High School Preseason Training. Several camps take place at RFK Stadium training grounds where D.C. United's first team trains.
All camp programs feature first-class instruction from United's technical staff and youth academy coaches. In addition, all participants will receive an official D.C. United Camp soccer ball and t-shirt, a ticket voucher for any 2010 D.C. United regular season home game, and during the World Cup, camps will hold special match viewings.
Fees of the Academy are $295 per player for the full-day; $350 for the striker/goalkeeper, the team training and the elite camps; and $195 for the half-day experience and high school camp. Enrollment is limited and a special discount is available for team or family enrollment.
