
Calgary Roughnecks Sign Nate Sanderson

CALGARY, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks announced today the signing of forward Nate Sanderson to a one-year deal. Terms of the deals were not disclosed and are subject to league approval.
"He's a right-handed offensive attack player that put up great numbers in the summer," said Brad Banister, Roughnecks' President and General Manager.
Sanderson, who is the cousin of Roughnecks' Josh Sanderson and younger brother to Buffalo Bandits' Phil Sanderson, played in one game for the Toronto Rock last season.
The 24-year-old native of Orangeville, ON tallied 70 points, including 26 goals and 44 assists in 18 games with the Barrie Lakeshores of the Major Series Lacrosse league during their 2009 campaign. In that time, Sanderson notched five power play goals and nine helpers on the man-advantage.
The Calgary Roughnecks kick-off the 2010 season on Sunday, January 10th at the Pengrowth Saddledome against the Minnesota Swarm.
