
Three Hawks To Fly Down Under For All-Star Event

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks Shawn Evans, Gary Gait and John Grant will make their longest commute of the season this October as they travel to Melbourne, Australia for the first ever NLL All-Star Series. The Rochester trio will play in the two-game series from Friday, October 23rd to Saturday, October 24th at Hisense Arena. The games start at 7:00 p.m. Melbourne time or 4:00 a.m. Eastern time on Friday and Saturday mornings.
The game will be a warm up for the Knighthawks players as they prepare for the 2010 season, which begins on Saturday, January 9th. That night, the K-hawks open their 16th season against the Buffalo Bandits at 8:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial.
Evans, Gait and Grant will represent the East squad as they take on the West. Each team will have NLL stars paired with Australia's best box lacrosse players. Some of the other notables on the East include Anthony Cosmo (Boston), Geoff Snider (Philadelphia) and Mark Steenhuis (Buffalo).
