Marcus Crandell joins Rider Coaching Staff

Saskatchewan Roughrider head coach Ken Miller announced today Marcus Crandell has joined the team's coaching staff. Crandell has been named an offensive assistant coach and will work primarily with the team's quarterbacks.

Crandell joins the coaching ranks after spending eleven seasons as a quarterback in the CFL. In his CFL career with Calgary, Edmonton and most recently Saskatchewan, Crandell threw for over 17,000 yards and 82 touchdowns.

Prior to joining the CFL, the 35-year old spent four seasons at East Carolina where he established more than 30 passing and offensive records.

"After bringing Marcus in as a guest coach this year and watching him work with our young quarterbacks, we knew we had to find a spot for him on our staff," stated Miller.

Marcus, his wife Mona and sons Carmelo and Darius make Regina their year-round home.
