Montreal, July 7, 2009 - The CFL announced today that Montreal Alouette kicker Damon Duval has been named the league's Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 1.
Duval received the honour after going six-for-six on field goals while adding a pair singles, contributing 22 points in the Alouettes' 40-27 win over the Stampeders in both teams' season-opener on July 1 in Calgary. He also totalled 87 yards on two punts.
The Alouettes will host the Edmonton Eskimos this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Percival Molson Stadium (RDS HD, TSN HD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM, CHOM 97.7 FM).
