Mystics & Octagon Join Forces

Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics are pleased to partner with Octagon Digital to bring Twitter users the latest in social media initiative, Twackle. "Mystics Twackle" will reside in a new section on the team's official website. The Washington Mystics are the first WNBA team to participate in Twackle.
Mystics Twackle (http://www.wnba.com/mystics/multimedia/Mystics_Twackle-317717-2556.html) will identify and collect all Twitter messages or "Tweets" about the Mystics, and display them in one location for Washington fans to enjoy. Fans that have their own profiles on Twitter will be able to log into their accounts from Mystics Twackle and join the constant conversation by directly replying to comments posted or sharing their own thoughts and opinions on the team.
"This new service provides a virtual meeting place for our fans to gather in the Twitterverse," Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb stated. "We are excited to utilize this new technology and to provide another vehicle for our fans to engage our brand."
Twackle is the first service incubated out of Octagon Digital, a standalone division of Octagon Athletes & Personalities started in 2008 with the goal of developing consumer facing online communications properties and services focused on the sports vertical.

The Mystics will host the WNBA's first annual Go Green Night on July 11 at 7:00 p.m. during the game featuring Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks.
