CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, May 28, 2009) - Chivas USA announced today the signing of Cesar Zamora, an 18-year-old midfielder from Sylmar, Calif., and a product of the Chivas USA Youth System, to a Developmental Contract. Zamora, an outside midfielder who played with the Chivas USA U-18 Team during the past two seasons in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, becomes the third former Chivas USA youth player on the club's first-team roster, alongside local products Gerson Mayén (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Jorge Flores (Anaheim, Calif.).

The youngest child of Mexican parents, Zamora grew up as a fan of Chivas USA's Mexican partner club, Chivas de Guadalajara.

Currently out with a left hamstring injury, Zamora has been added to Chivas USA's Disabled List and is not immediately eligible for MLS play.
