9th Inning Comeback Puts 'Cats on Top of 'Birds

Troy, NY - Saturday night brought another ten inning battle the IronBirds' way. They only got two hits, but battled through baserunners to hang on to a 3-2 until the 9th. Tri-City tied the game in the 9th, and won it in the 10th to even the series at two.

BIG MOMENTS

1st inning: Tri-City took a 1-0 lead on a double from Grae Kessinger and then a sac-fly RBI from Zach Bierman.

3rd inning: Aberdeen scored on what is ruled an "other advancement" by Jordan Cannon (See scoring rule 10.7d)

4th inning: The first two batter of the inning scored. Tristan Graham doubled. Andrew Fregia and Lenin Rodriguez punched sacrifice flies to give Aberdeen a lead

9th inning: Tri-City scored to tie the game after a leadoff triple and a sac-fly.

10th inning: Grae Kessinger singled with a runner on second to win the game.

Aberdeen has now dropped all three extra inning games this season.
