
901 FC Looks to Regain Winning Ways in Road Tilt against Hartford Athletic

Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis 901 FC looks to pick up three points against Hartford Athletic after their win streak came to an end with a 1-0 loss to Birmingham Legion FC on Wednesday night after a 1 hour and 45 minute weather delay.
Memphis and Hartford have competed twice, both times in 901 FC's inaugural USL Championship season in 2019. Memphis outscored Hartford 6-2 over the two matches and tallied wins both times.
Hartford currently sits at 12th in the Eastern Conference standings after falling to San Diego Loyal 3-0 on Saturday night. Hartford has collected seven of their eight points over the past six matches.
Memphis head coach Ben Pirmann was named the USL Championship Coach of the Month for May after leading 901 FC on a five-match win streak, while out scoring their opponents 17-3 along the way.
Midfielder Jeremy Kelly received the USL Championship Player of the Month award for May after recording three goals and three assists in Memphis' four wins through May.
Memphis picked up their third loss of the season in a defensive battle against Birmingham. 901 FC controlled possession throughout, finishing with 60.7% but were unable to capitalize on opportunities.
901 FC and Legion FC went into the match each boasting one allowed goal per match, four recorded clean sheets and less than 50 shots faced in the 2022 season.
Birmingham put the ball in the back of the net in the 90 minute, tallying the only goal of the match. Anderson Asiedu scored off a deflected ball in the box to give Legion FC the three points.
Memphis 901 FC moved to 9-3-1 on the season with the loss, maintaining a one-point lead atop the Eastern Conference Standings.
