WELCOME NORTH DINNER IS ONE WEEK AWAY
You won't want to miss a great autograph and photograph opportunity and the chance to meet the Thunder team in a personal setting at this year's Welcome North Dinner. Former Yankee great Tommy John will serve as the special guest speaker. The event is April 7 at Angeloni's Cedar Gardens in Hamilton Square. Doors will open at 6:00 and dinner will be served at 6:30. FIRST PRACTICE ON APRIL 6 IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The Thunder's first Waterfront Park practice of the season will be held on April 6 at 7:00. The gates to this free event will open at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will be available and there will be prize giveaways and a silent auction to benefit the Grand Slam We Care Foundation. Come down to the ballpark and get a preview of this year's Thunder team.
THUNDER RALLY IN NINTH TO BEAT FISHER CATS
The Thunder scored three runs in the 9th Inning to rally for a 4-2 win over Toronto's Double-A affiliate, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, in Dunedin, FL on Tuesday afternoon.
Trenton trailed 2-0, but got a run back in the 5th Inning on an RBI single by J.T. Stotts. The Thunder tied the game in the ninth on an RBI single by 2B Robinson Cano. Jake Weber followed with a two-run triple for the lead. John Blankenship got the win in relief. Javier Ortiz went 5 2/3 innings allowing two runs.
SEE A GAME IN THE YANKEE CLUB
The Yankee Club Restaurant will be open for individuals on Wednesday April 14, 2004 7:05 p.m. vs. the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, AA affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays. This is a great opportunity to watch the game from the luxury suite level behind home plate, enjoy an hour and a half all-you-can eat buffet and marvel at the one-of-a-kind collection of baseball memorabilia that graces the walls of the Yankee Club.
