Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs have finalized their radio and television affiliates for the 2004 season. NewsRadio WMTW 870 AM enters its third season as the flagship station of the Sea Dogs Radio Network. The radio network has expanded into the Southern New Hampshire market for the 2004 season. For the 11th straight season WMTW TV-8 will serve as the Sea Dogs television affiliate. WMTW ABC-8 will televise six Sea Dogs games live from Hadlock Field. The New England Sports Network (NESN) for a second season will televise games from Portland. NESN will carry four games in 2004.

The Sea Dogs Radio Network expands for the third consecutive season, this year into Southern New Hampshire. WMEX 106.5 FM in Rochester, New Hampshire joins the Sea Dogs Radio Network. This brings the Sea Dogs Radio Network to a total of 11 stations, the largest in Double-A baseball. Games can be heard in the Portland, Lewiston and Augusta markets and the coverage area expands from Northern Massachusetts to Southern and Central New Hampshire to Central Maine.

All 142 games throughout the 2004 season can be heard on the radio with the Voice of the Sea Dogs Todd Jamison calling all the action. Todd returns for his third season as the Voice of the Sea Dogs. He will be joined by veteran baseball broadcaster Steve Pratt for most home games and select road games.

In addition, you can listen to the Sea Dogs worldwide. Every Sea Dogs broadcast can be heard via the internet. Log onto to www.seadogs.com, www.sportsjuice.com or www.zoneradio.com/wzon/ to listen to the Sea Dogs.

For the 11th consecutive season, WMTW-TV Channel 8 serves as the television affiliate and will broadcast six Sea Dogs games live in 2004. Norm Karkos returns to call the play-by-play action and is joined by color analyst and former Major Leaguer Bob Tewksbury. Tewksbury is currently a pitching consultant with the Red Sox and is a studio analyst for NESN during Red Sox games. You can catch these Sea Dogs games on ABC WMTW 8 this season:

The New England Sports Network (NESN) returns for its second season as the cable affiliate broadcasting Sea Dogs games. Bob Tewksbury will handle the color commentary. A play-by-play announcer has not yet been named. NESN will broadcast the following four games in 2004:

May 24th 6:00pm vs. Binghamton Mets

June 28th 6:00pm vs. Norwich Navigators

July 24th 6:00pm vs. Norwich Navigators

August 19th 7:00pm vs. Trenton Thunder

The Sea Dogs home opener is Thursday, April 15th against the Binghamton Mets at 6:00 PM. Tickets for Opening Day and all other home games are available. Tickets may be ordered by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or on-line at www.seadogs.com.
