December 8, 2008 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm's 6th Annual Christmas Carnival will be held on Friday, December 12th at Great Bear Recreation Park. Again this year, the event will serve as a drop point for Toys for Tots. Last year, the event garnered over 120 toys for needy children in the community.
From 5 to 8 PM, fans will be treated to a FREE chili meal and cookies for dessert. Storm players and coaches will also be on hand to spread holiday cheer. Santa Claus will make an appearance to visit with kids about their Christmas wishes. Great Bear is located just three miles east of Sioux Falls on Rice Street.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 for the Toys for Tots drive. The Storm will also be accepting scarves, mittens/gloves, jackets, blankets, non-perishable food, toys, hats, socks, toiletries, boots, sweatshirts and sweatpants for various charities around Sioux Falls. Fans that are not able to attend the carnival can bring their donation to the Storm office located at 1910 S. Minnesota Ave.
Once again, this event will serve as your official shop for Storm merchandise for all the Storm fans on your Christmas list. You will be able to finish all your Christmas shopping in one place with official Storm apparel. The Storm will also be selling commemorative DVDs of the United Bowl IV Championship Game.
