Ottawa 67's News Release
Friday night was yet another great night at the Civic Centre - your Ottawa 67's celebrated their victory over the Peterborough Petes. With two goals in the first period, and a scoreless second, it looked like the Petes would try to come back - scoring with just 9:52 left in the third. Just a minute and a half later, no. 21, Anthony Nigro, made sure they wouldn't do just that, with his second of the night, and the last goal of the game, ending it 3-1. Tonight was also Jubilee Fine Jewellers' Ladies' Night. The first 1,000 ladies who made their way through the doors received a diamond look-alike, and once the stones are taken to a store location to be identified, one lucky lady will win a Polar Bear Diamond valued at $3,000!
If you were the recipient of a diamond look-alike tonight, make sure you don't miss the opportunity to see if yours is the winner!
In honour of ladies' night, and Valentine's Day, some of the 67's greeted their mothers, or grandmothers, at centre ice, and presented them with a bouquet of flowers! Pictured below, no. 89 Logan Couture gets a hug from his mom!
You also don't want to miss our next home game, next Friday night when Chris MacKinnon, a top-10 OHL point getter this year, and the Kitchener Rangers visit the Civic Centre.
We hope to see you here again, or for the first time, this Friday!
