
67's Seeking Offence After Loss to Colts

The Ottawa 67's need to wait another week to have another chance of getting the team's first win of the season, after losing the home opener 4-0 on Sunday to the Barrie Colts at the Arena at TD Place.
Colts goalie Mackenzie Blackwood was the star in this one, stopping 44 shots to record the victory for Dale Hawerchuk's squad. The best chance Ottawa had in the game was on a penalty shot by Jeremiah Addison in the second period, but Blackwood stopped that one too.
Andrew Magiapane scored twice, including one into an empty net, and added and assist for the Colts, while Kevin Labanc and Cordell James also scored for Barrie.
Liam Herbst made 32 saves for Ottawa, which has lost three straight to begin the 2015-16 campaign, including back-to-back shutout losses. The 67's dropped a 7-0 decision in Mississauga on Friday night to the Steelheads.
Ottawa is seeking a quick rebound. Last season, the team began the year with four consecutive losses to begin the year before staging a turnaround that resulted in a 38-25-4-1 regular-season and fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
The 67's practice this week and can get on track next on Friday, October 2 against the Hamilton Bulldogs (formerly the Belleville Bulls) at 7 p.m. at the Arena at TD Place.
