Ottawa 67's News Release
OTTAWA - The Seattle Kraken announced, today, that they have signed Ottawa 67's OA forward Logan Morrison to a three-year entry-level contract.
"During his time with the 67's, Logan has continued to show the skill and leadership that led Hamilton to the OHL title last season, earning him the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award as OHL Playoff MVP," said 67's General Manager James Boyd. "The 67's are thrilled to be a part of this special moment in Logan's hockey career."
Morrison, 20, arrived in the nation's capital on January 7, after being acquired via trade from the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Guelph, Ontario native finished sixth in league scoring; with 40 goals and 54 assists, for 94 points in 56 games. Morrison is currently tied for fourth in playoffs scoring, as he posted seven goals and three assists, for 10 points during Ottawa's five-game first-round victory over the Oshawa Generals.
During the 2022 OHL playoffs, Morrison was a key component of the J. Ross Robertson Cup champion, and Memorial Cup finalist Bulldogs. The 2018 18th overall pick earned OHL playoff MVP honours with 39 points in 19 games, and finished tied for first in scoring at the 2022 Memorial Cup, posting eight points in five contests.
Morrison and the 67's continue their chase for the Robertson Cup, as their Round 2 series vs the Peterborough Petes kicks off Friday night at 7:00pm ET, inside The Arena at TD Place.
