Ottawa 67's News Release

Our Ottawa 67's came out victorious last night with a 4-2 win over the Belleville Bulls. The boys dominated the first period, scoring the game's first goal roughly halfway through. The Bulls countered shortly after, scoring their first goal of the game on a power play. Our Ottawa 67's couldn't have that, so they took back the lead late in the first.

The first intermission found fans entertained by the classic Equipment Relay - only with a twist. The game was made more difficult by placing two vehicles on the ice which our competitors had to navigate around; while wearing almost full hockey gear. Way to go guys!

Our boys established a two point lead late in what was a rather aggressive (but FUN) second period. The boys maintained their lead in shots, as well as superior skill.

We wish we had a picture of last night's second intermission. Leitrim's IP2 Penguins wowed the crowd with their Future 67's greatness. Way to go kids! The Urbandale Centre was proud to house even more great hockey!

By the third period fans were so into the game, we barely heard anything from where we were! It was amazing! The Bulls scored early in the third, but when our Ottawa 67's retaliated with another fantastic goal, it almost blew the roof right off the place! But we guess that's just another night in the Heart of Hockey Country.

Despite the boys amazing skills last night, and our best efforts, technical difficulties have limited our newsletter this week. Don't worry Ottawa 67's fans, we'll be back Friday January 8, 2010 when we battle the Belleville Bulls again. We'll write more from the stands, and actually have photos! See you in the New Year!
