OTTAWA - A third-period comeback earned the Ottawa 67's a point in Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday night as the Barber Poles fell 4-3 to the Greyhounds in overtime.

Two Ottawa goals less than three minutes apart midway through the third saw the 67's comeback from a 3-1 deficit to force overtime before Greyhounds winger Boris Katchouk ended things just before the midway mark of the extra session.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first as Bobby MacIntyre and Otto Makinen scored four minutes apart. Just as it was looking like Sault Ste. Marie would take the two-goal lead into the first intermission, Drake Rymsha got Ottawa on the board with a little over a minute left to cut the lead in half.

After Tim Gettinger scored three minutes into the second to give the Grehounds a 3-1 lead that would carry over into the third, the 67's stormed back in the final frame.

The comeback started courtesy of Patrick White's fifth goal of the season before the midway mark of the third, followed by newcomer Jared Steege's first goal in a 67's jersey in his second game with the club to tie things at three goals apiece.

Olivier Lafreniere was sharp in goal for the 67's, turning away 35 shots.

The 67's close out their three-game road swing Sunday afternoon in Sudbury.
