Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA - The Edmonton Oilers announced, today, that they have signed Ottawa 67's forward Brady Stonehouse to a three-year entry-level contract.

"We are extremely excited that Brady has earned an NHL contract," said 67's General Manager James Boyd. "He has shown consistent development throughout his time in the Ontario Hockey League, and achieving this important career milestone is most deserved."

Stonehouse, 19, was selected in the second round, 26th overall, by the 67's in the 2020 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. The Blenheim, Ontario native made his OHL debut during the 2021-22 campaign, with 35 points in 68 games.

Despite going undrafted in 2022, Stonehouse received an invite to Colorado Avalanche Development Camp. The subsequent season with Ottawa was a breakout campaign for him; again appearing in all 68 games, scoring a career-high 37 goals (second on the team) and 20 assists, for 57 points. Stonehouse suited up in all 11 postseason games, as well, potting a goal and an assist.

His successes earned him free agent invites to the Oilers' Development, and Training Camps leading into the 2023-24 season.

Stonehouse and the 67's are back in action on Saturday, hosting the Sudbury Wolves inside The Arena at TD Place at 3:00pm ET.
