66ers, Rebuilding Together to Refurbish Home on Thursday

TULSA, Okla., March 30, 2011- This Thursday afternoon, March 31, the Tulsa 66ers organization will team up with Rebuilding Together to refurbish a home belonging to Byllie Henny, a long-time Tulsa community member.

Henny, who has lived in her home for 50 years, will benefit from repairs that will focus on safety, security and weatherproofing. 66ers staff will work on the home on Thursday from 1-3 p.m., while the players will be on site to complete the project from 3-5 p.m.

The event will take place in conjunction with the NBA D-League's "Green Week" that lasts from March 26-April 2.

The project is also an extension of the refurbishing efforts of the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this month. Also teaming up with Rebuilding Together, Thunder players, coaches and staff renovated the home of Anna Bell Higgins, 72, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Oklahoma City.
