
66ers Fall Short Against Stampede

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa 66ers closed their home season losing 123-117 to the Idaho Stampede Sunday night at Expo Square Pavilion.
The Stampede (33-14) were led in scoring by guard Mike Taylor, who came off the bench with 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Also scoring in double-figures were Luke Jackson with 27 points, Roberto Bergersen with 25 points, Cory Violette with 13 points and Josh McRoberts with 15 points.
Tulsa was paced by Derrick Dial's game-high 23 points. Mike Hall added 20 points and 8 rebounds, while Jason Fontenet chipped in with 19 points and five assists. Jeremy Kelly came off the bench to pour in 18 points and grab 4 rebounds and Keith Closs (14) also scored in double-figures.
The Stampede led in scoring with 56 percent, compared to Tulsa's 54 percent from the pine. Tulsa shot better from behind the arch with 8-of-17 to Idaho's 10-of-30.
Tulsa will finish out their 2007-08 regular season on the road. The 66ers will go to Texas to take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers Friday night and the Toros on Saturday night. Tipoff for both games is slated for 7 p.m.
