5th Inning Barrage Leads Missoula Past Great Falls Saturday
June 26, 2022 - Pioneer League (PL)
Missoula PaddleHeads News Release
Missoula MT - Both offenses would get off to a slow start on Saturday night in game 2 of a 3 game set between the Missoula PaddleHeads and the Great Falls Voyagers at Allegiance Field at Ogren Park. Both teams would be limited to just one run apiece through the first 4 innings of action. After the Voyagers would be turned away in the top of the fifth, the PaddleHeads offense would turn things around on a dime in the bottom of the frame.
After being limited to just 2 hits through 4, Missoula's offense would come alive in the fifth with a 6 run rally. It would be a relentless attack that featured 6 singles, a double, and a home run. When the dust settled, Missoula would hold a 6-1 lead. Great Falls would never recover and would be outscored 10-0 after the fourth in an 11-1 victory for Missoula.
