Knoxville Ice Bears News Release


With just 57 days until opening night at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, your Knoxville Ice Bears staff is working overtime preparing for the season. Coach Jim Bermingham has worked tirelessly to re-sign several players from last seasons SPHL Commissioners Cup Championship Knoxville Ice Bears. Veteran Defenseman Doug Searle will be leading the team on the ice as this years Captain. Other fan favorites returning include Mike Craigen, David Bagley, Curtis Menzul, Marcus Forsberg, Jeff Hansen, Rob Miller, Jamie Ronayne, and last years Ice Bears and SPHL leading scorer Kevin Swider. Coach Bermingham has also signed James Rodak and Andrew Sharp to training camp contracts. Training camp will be held at the ICEARIUM and will be open to the public. Dates and times of camp are being finalized and will be released soon. Great Season Ticket locations are still available in all levels including the new additions being finalized in the VIP area. New stands, seats, and an extension will wrap around the glass to the Luxury boxes. The new corner VIP seats are expected to be the best seats in the arena. A few Luxury boxes are also still available, please contact John Scott at the below information for details and to set up a visit to view available seats. Partial Season ticket plans can be catered to your needs where you pick the number of games and the days you would like to attend.

Corporate Sponsorships are another great way to not only show your support for Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey but also to promote your business. Ice Bears Business Packages that include Ice Bears Tickets are available as is space in the Ice Bears 2005-06 Program; the back panel on the 2005-06 pocket schedule that will be distributed throughout Knoxville and surrounding counties; great in game promotions such as Chuck-A-Puck, Dance for you Dinner, and special promotional nights such as Race, Bike, and Weiner Dog nights. Other available sponsorships include the Ice Bears Power Play with PA Announcements such as "Your Knoxville Ice Bears are on the (Your Business Name) Power Play". Back Lit signs are great year-round signage located on both ends of the arena and are visible for most shows and events held at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Ice Logos (Your company name in the Ice), Dasher Boards, Banners, and much more are still available.
