Florida Seals News Release

[KISSIMMEE, Fla.] -The Florida Seals have again gone back to the Macon Trax for two more players this season. Dominick Dawes and Craig Miller have agreed to terms to be on the ice for the Florida Seals this season.

Dawes enters his sophomore season after suiting up for Tommy Stewart last year in Macon. The swingman was very valuable to the Trax as he started the year at defense before being moved up to forward when injuries hit the Trax hard last season.

Stewart plans to start the season with Dawes as one the key wings on the team. The Utica, N.Y. native appeared in 56 games in his rookie season scoring 30 points.

"Dawsey was very valuable to the team last year," said Stewart. "He played any position I needed him to last season and was one of the better rookies in the league."

Miller enters his third full year in professional hockey. The right wing will be counted on as one of the leaders on the ice and in the locker room for the Seals.

"Craig played a key leadership role as on of the Assistant Captains last season," said Stewart. "I expect big things from him in terms of leadership and should be one of the workhorses for the Florida Seals."

The 2004-05 season was the best offensively for Miller in his young career. The St. Thomas University graduate set career highs with 25 goals, 28 assists, 53 points and 77 penalty minutes.

Get ready for the home opener Saturday, October 29 at the Silver Spurs Arena. The puck will drop for the first ever hockey game in the arena at 7:35 pm versus the Jacksonville Barracudas.
