It's Faith and Family Night Saturday night at CenturyTel Center , as the Mudbugs take on the division rival Mississippi RiverKings at 7:05 pm. Join church groups from throughout the Ark-La-Tex who will be in attendance and plan on staying after the game as the Mudbugs and LifeWay Christian Stores are proud to present American Contemporary Christian singer Brandon Heath in a special post-game concert.
Also on Saturday, the Mudbugs are offering a special one-time ticket promotion. That night against the RiverKings, you can purchase $5.00 seats for the second level of the CenturyTel Center and help us have a sellout Saturday! Before the game, various Christian music artists from area churches will be performing on the concourse from 6 to 7. Remember to bring a little extra cash to purchase your favorite Girl Scout cookies as the winners of the Pelican Council Ticket Sale Race, Troop 176, will be selling cookies on the concourse.
Saturday will be the ninth meeting of the season between Bossier-Shreveport and Mississippi , and will break a 4-4 tie in the season series. The RiverKings are right in the middle of a tight battle for Northern Conference playoff positioning with Youngstown and Texas . Mississippi trails the SteelHounds by two points and holds a one-point advantage on the Brahmas coming into this Thursday's action. The Mudbugs have a seven point lead on Laredo in the race for the Governor's Cup for the CHL's best regular season record and have won three consecutive games coming into Thursday night's home game against Corpus Christi .
