Alexander Khovanov had two goals and an assist and Olivier Rodrigue made 23 saves to lead the Wildcats to a 3-0 victory over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Friday at Avenir Centre.
Jeremy McKenna added a goal and an assist in Moncton's eleventh consecutive win. The shutout is the team's ninth of the season, a new franchise record.
There was no scoring until Khovanov broke the ice with under four minutes left in the second period. Moncton led 1-0 after two periods.
The Russian sniper struck again 24 seconds into the third period to double Moncton's advantage.
McKenna wrapped up the scoring five minutes later with a goal moments after a power play chance ended.
Rodrigue's shutout is his fourth of the season.
