2015 Schedule Announced

(Central Islip, N.Y., Oct. 14, 2014) - The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks today announced the dates and start times for the 2015 regular season. The Ducks will host their 16th season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and look to earn their 10th postseason berth in a span of 13 years. The 2015 schedule boasts home games on 11 Fridays, 11 Saturdays and an all-time high 14 Sunday Family Fundays.

"Our 15th Anniversary Season was filled with great memories, including the welcoming of our league-record 6 millionth fan," said Ducks President and General Manager Michael Pfaff. "We are excited to create more memorable moments in 2015 and look forward to having the Faithful Flock filling up Bethpage Ballpark once again."

The 2015 season will feature a 140-game schedule that begins on April 24 as the Ducks open the year on the road. The seven-game trip will see the Ducks play three games against the York Revolution and four against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. The Flock then returns home for the 2015 home opener on Friday, May 1 against the Sugar Land Skeeters at 6:35 p.m. Long Island will welcome the defending Atlantic League champion Lancaster Barnstormers to Bethpage Ballpark from May 8-10 and June 29-July 2.

The Ducks will host a pair of day/night doubleheaders at the Duck Pond, with the first occurring on Saturday, May 9 against the Lancaster Barnstormers and the second taking place on Saturday, May 23 against Camden. In addition, the Ducks will host a camp day for the third consecutive season on Monday, August 3, with first pitch slated for 11:05 a.m. On Labor Day, Monday, September 7, Long Island will play at a special time of 1:35 p.m.

Both halves of the season will be 70 games long, with the first half ending on Sunday, July 5 at home against Somerset and the season concluding on Sunday, September 20 in Lancaster. The 18th Annual Atlantic League All-Star Game will take place between the two halves on Wednesday, July 8.

The 2015 season will feature a slight change in game times for home games at Bethpage Ballpark. Throughout the entire season, all Monday through Saturday games will begin at 6:35 p.m. Start times for Sunday contests will remain 1:35 p.m. in May, June and September and 5:05 p.m. in July and August. The 2014 promotional schedule will be released in March prior to the Opening Day of individual ticket sales.
