The Freedom have kept some of the old time favorites and added some flair to this summer. Xavier University College of Education, Health and Social Sciences welcomes back Education Day on May 26 at 11:05am. Not only will kids enjoy a day at the ballpark, but they will also experience an education fair. Liberty, the Freedom's original mascot, will celebrate his birthday in style on June 2 at 7:05 p.m. when all of his friends come out to join him in a Mascot Madness Party. Be on the lookout for new characters to join Liberty as he turns six.
If your son or daughter is a scout then do not miss the sleepovers at the ballpark this summer. The Boy Scout Sleepover is scheduled for Friday, June 11 and the Girl Scout Sleepover is scheduled for Friday, July 9. On Friday, June 18 the Creation Museum will be out at the ballpark for Christian Family Night and they will be handing out Dinosaur bobbleheads to the first 1,000 kids ages 12 and under.
Ace Hardware's Father's Day Celebration at the ballpark will be on June 20. Starting May 10, Kids can print off essay forms found on FlorenceFreedom.com or by visiting ACE Hardware locations in Florence, Hebron and Independence to fill out and explain "Why Their Dad Should Be A Freedom Player For A Day". One lucky kid and their father will be transformed into Freedom players on June 20 for Father's Day with custom jersey and batting practice with the team included. All kids and their father's are welcomed out to the game on June 20 for catch together on the field before the game, tool belt painting and give-a-ways for Dad's thanks to ACE Hardware.
Super Splash Day is back on June 28 with a large inflatable waterslide, water balloons and of course lots of water. Game time is set for 11:05 a.m.
The third annual Bark in the Park will have your dogs howling and the weiner dogs racing on Sunday, July 11. Dog owners will especially enjoy $1 hot dogs that night.
Fans love give-a-ways, and the only way to get them is to join the Freedom Family. To be a Freedom Family member you must be a season ticket holder, 10 game mini-plan holder, or a Liberty's Newport Aquarium Kids Club member.
