Southern Illinois Miners News Release
MARION, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Miners have announced that a limited number of season tickets are now available. This marks the first time since the inaugural 2007 season that fans will be able to purchase season tickets without a waiting list.
"This could be a great chance for fans who missed out on season tickets before our first season and would like to take advantage of a limited opportunity," Miners General Manager Tim Arseneau said.
The Miners have led the Frontier League in attendance in each of their first three seasons. Last season the Miners became the only team in the league's 17-year history to draw over 200,000 fans in three different seasons. In 2007 Southern Illinois set the league's all-time record with 259,392 total fans.
Season ticket holders will receive first right of refusal for tickets to the 2010 Frontier League All-Star Game at Rent One Park and any potential Miners home playoff games. For more information on season ticket holder benefits or to purchase season tickets, fans can call the Rent One Park Box Office at (618) 998-8499.
The regular season starts on May 20 with a 7:05 p.m. home game against River City. For a complete schedule and the latest news on the Miners and events at Rent One Park, visit www.southernillinoisminers.com.
