2009 BC Lions Fan Festival set for Sunday

(Vancouver) - The BC Lions are pleased to invite Lions supporters to the club's 2009 Training Camp Fan Festival this Sunday, June 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rotary Stadium, in beautiful Abbotsford, BC.

The Lions' Fanfest will include attractions such as a main stage area, interactive and inflatable games, face painting, music, a kids play area, and much more. Entertainment on the main stage will run from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will include special performances by the Felions Dance Team. Lions fans will have the chance to get a sneak preview of the team during an controlled scrimmage from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What: 2009 BC Lions Training Camp Fan Festival

When: Sunday, June 14th

1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Where: Rotary Stadium (Abbotsford, BC)

Directions: From Highway 1, take exit 87 (Clearbrook Road). Travel north on Clearbrook Road to MacLure Road and turn right. Travel east on MacLure Road to Tretheway Street and turn left. Follow Tretheway Street past Rotary Stadium to Gate 1 located at the north end of the Abbotsford Exhibition Grounds.

The Lions travel to Calgary to take on the defending Grey Cup champion Stampeders in preseason action on Wednesday, June 17th and will host the Edmonton Eskimos at BC Place on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Hear all the action live on the home of the Lions, TEAM 1040.
