
2009 BC Lions Community Practice set for Sunday

(Vancouver) - The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to invite fans to the club's 2009 Community Practice at Empire Field at the PNE this Sunday, August 30th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Lions players will meet fans and sign autographs from approximately 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm prior to gearing up for the team practice.
The family-friendly event will feature face painting, balloons, inflatables and numerous prize giveaways. Lions fans can also catch a glimpse of the squad in action as the players hit the field at approximately 12:40 pm for a practice session concluding at 2:00 pm.
Following the Lions workout, approximately 70 young amateur football players will hit the field for a pre-registered SUBWAY Play with the Pros football clinic featuring instruction from Lions players beginning at approximately 2:15 pm and concluding at 3:00 pm.
In addition, a select group of amateur football coaches will have an opportunity to learn from the pros during a special coaches clinic presented by ActNow BC.

The 2009 BC Lions Community Practice is proudly presented by the Fair at the PNE and is supported by ActNow BC, Global BC, and SUBWAY Restaurants.
