
2006 Everett Silvertips Rookie Camp Update

On Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm, Everett Silvertips Rookie Camp will conclude with the Rookie Green vs. White Game at the Everett Events Center. The Top 40 players from the Silvertips Rookie Camp will be on hand to see who will move on to the main training camp next week.
On Saturday morning and evening in front of hundreds of fans at the Everett Events Center, four games took place to decide which team had the best record throughout the four teams at rookie camp. Team Gray led by camp invites Kyle Stoumbough, Gerry Holland and Silvertips 1st Round pick (13th Overall) in the 2006 Bantam Draft, Kellan Tochkin paved the way for the Gray squad to a 3-1-1 record to finish in 1st place.
In the morning session, Team Gray defeated Team Blue 7-3. Gerry Holland tallied 3 goals, while Matt Ius, Everett's 2nd Round (30th Overall) selection in the 2005 Bantam Draft added a goal and an assist. For Team Blue goaltender J.P. Chapman made 30 saves on 32 shots in one period in the loss. Team Black defeated Team Red 7-5 on Saturday morning with Riley Halwa, the Silvertips 10th Round (190th Overall) pick in the 2006 Bantam Draft adding 2 goals and 1 assist to lead the Black squad in the victory. Camp invite Ryno Linder posted 2 goals in the loss.
The evening sessions entertained the fans with great excitement as Team Black defeated Team Gray 6-2 while Team Red capped off the scrimmage session with a 7-2 victory over Team Blue. For Team Black goaltender Michael Smith, Everett's 6th Round (118th Overall) pick in the 2006 Bantam Draft made 23 saves on 23 shots to secure the victory. Defenseman Jacob Halderman and forward Clement Fontaine each added 2 goals in the Black squad's victory. In game two, Team Blue defeated Team Red 6-2. Camp invite Tanner Schulze tallied 3 goals to lead the Blue squad to their first win on the weekend. Blue goaltender, J.P. Chapman made 20 saves on 20 shots in the win. For Team Red, Brody Moen, the Silvertips 3rd Round (55th Overall) draft pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft added 2 goals in the loss.
The 2006 Silvertips Rookie Camp will conclude with the Rookie Green vs. White Game which will be open to the general public free of charge at the Everett Events Center.

The Silvertips will host their 3rd Annual Everett Silvertips Pre-Season Tournament at the Everett Events Center on Labor Day Weekend from September 1 to September 3. On Friday, September 1, the Silvertips will battle the Vancouver Giants and face off against the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday, September 2 at 7:05 p.m. Everett will close out the pre-season tournament on Sunday, September 3 against the Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:05 p.m. Single game ticket prices for the tournament remain unchanged from last year. Single game tickets are $10 and fans can save money by purchasing a Tournament Ticket Package. Tournament Ticket Packages are just $50.00 per person (a $40.00 savings over walkup prices) for all nine-tournament games.
Ticket packages for the Pre-Season Tournament are currently on sale at the Silvertips Office, which is located inside the Everett Events Center (corner of Hewitt and Lombard). Fans may call the Silvertips office at 425-252-5100 and charge by phone (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover). Tickets packages will remain on sale through Thursday, August 31 at 5:00 p.m.
Single game tickets for the tournament are currently on sale at the Everett Events Center Box Office. Fans can also order tickets by calling 1-866-EEC-TIXX or online at www.everettsilvertips.com. Normal ticketing fees apply if ordering online or via phone.
