Alaska Wild News Release
"Pac Man" signs with NY Jets; Kamaron Young with Green Bay Packers In a week featuring a hard fought loss to a high caliber team with former NFL stars, and a date with arguably the IFL's best team in the Billings Outlaws, the Alaska Wild received some excellent news. Defensive back, Charles "Pac Man" McCrea traveled to Miami on April 28 to conduct a workout with the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. The tryout went well according to "Pac Man," but the New York Jets offered more "incentives." According to McCrea, the Jets decided to send him to Finland to have him obtain experience and repititions in the outdoor game with a Jets Finnish affiliate team. As of now, "Pac Man" has been signed to the Jets practice squad.
Offensive lineman Kamaron Young, recently signed by the Wild in week 5 from the San Angelo Stampede Express, has also signed with an NFL team. Young, who with Demarcus James and "Pac Man" attracted the attention of NFL scouts prior to loss to Colorado on April 26, signed as a free agent with the Green Bay Packers on Monday. Young will attend training camp with the Packers in August and is expected to finish the season with the Alaska Wild.
