Moose Jaw, SK.--- The Moose Jaw Warriors are proud to announce the 1st Annual Men's Golf Tournament on July 8-9th, 2010. The tournament will be held at the Hillcrest Sports Centre. The two day event will begin with registration and team draws on Thursday July 8th. The tournament will commence at 10:00 am with a shot gun start.
The entry fee will be $350.00 per person which includes a $1,000,000 shoot out, supper at the Shriner's Club and prizes. Interested individuals can register at the Moose Jaw Warriors down town office. All proceeds raised from the event will go to the Warriors Education Fund.
The Warriors Education Fund directly allows Moose Jaw Warriors to take advantage of a WHL scholarship. For every season a player plays in the WHL, they receive a full guaranteed Scholarship to a post secondary institution of their choice. Since 1993, the WHL clubs have provided close to 3000 scholarships and a $9 million dollar investment-making the WHL the leading provider of hockey scholarships in Western Canada.
The scholarship allows grads to pursue a post secondary education along with the opportunity to continue playing hockey at an elite level in the Canadian University or College system.
