If you didn?t think the Reno Silver Sox could score 16 runs on back to back nights, then you underestimated them.
After their 16-10 win on Monday, the Silver Sox crushed the Roadrunners again Tuesday by a final of 16-9 improving to 6-12 on the season.
Reno was led by CF Victor Hall who had a four hit night with five runs batted in. 1B Cody Nowlin also had another great night, as he went 3-6 with four RBI and a towering home run over the right field fence - his first of the season.
Reno sent 13 men to the plate in the top of the seventh inning, scoring nine times. The Sox picked up 19 hits in the game.
Sox starter James Johnson pitched five and two thirds innings allowing six runs and was not a factor in the decision. Reliever Chris Testa pitched two and a third shutout innings and earned his first victory as a member of the Silver Sox.
After his four hit game on Monday, 3B Jordan Devoir was injured as he fouled a ball off his ankle late in the game. He was taken to the hospital afterwards. For an update on Devoir, tune into the Silver Sox radio broadcast Wednesday night at 5:50 PT when the Silver Sox go for the sweep of the Roadrunners.
Reno returns home on Friday to face the Yuma .
