GAME TODAY: BISONS vs. Toledo (1:00 p.m.)
The Buffalo Bisons (1-1-3) will take on the Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit) TODAY at 1:00 p.m. from the spring training home of the Indians at Winter Haven, FL.
LAST GAME: BISONS 0, ROUND ROCK 0
For the third time in five Spring exhibition games, the Bisons (1-1-3) tied an opponent. The Herd and Round Rock Express (Astros) played to a scoreless tie on Friday afternoon from Winter Haven, FL. Both teams had just five hits.
LHP C.C. Sabathia threw for the Bisons to get some extra work in. He struck out nine in six innings of work. LHP Reid Santos (2.0IP) and RHP Jason Beverlin (1.0IP) completed the shutout with hitless relief.
OF Rodney Choy Foo had two of the Bisons five hits (2-2, 2B). He is hitting .455 (5-11) this spring with 1 2B, 2 3B, 1HR, 5RBI and a 1.182 slugging percentage.
WHAT'S NEW MEDIA EVENT
The Bisons will showcase for the media "What's New at the Ballpark in 2007" on Monday, March 26 at 3:00 p.m. at Pettibones Grille. Interested media can come and sample the new foods, and see the team's modified home jersey and new alternate third jersey. The new Irish Pub-themed suite will be open and there will be a display of the new Bisons merchandise.
MLB OPENING NIGHT CELEBRATION
The Bisons will celebrate the return of baseball with an MLB OPENING NIGHT CELEBRATION on Sunday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Pettibones Grille. Fans are invited to come down to the ballpark's restaurant and watch the first game of the MLB regular season (NY Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals) and dine on free chicken wings. Bisons manager Torey Lovullo and select Bisons players will be on hand and door prizes will be given. The cost is a $5 charitable donation, which also gets fans a free ticket to the Bisons first fridaynightbash!⢠of the season, presented by Time Warner Cable, on April 6 against the Richmond Braves (6:05 p.m.). The Bisons are asking fans to RSVP by calling (716) 846-2011.
FINAL WORKOUTS -TIME CHANGE
Bisons manager Torey Lovullo has rescheduled the team's two workouts in the week leading up to Opening Day. The team will make final preparations for the season at Dunn Tire Park on Tuesday, April 3 (7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.) and Wednesday, April 4 (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Both practices are weather permitting and subject to change.
MILLER, SLOCUM SET TO START IN HERD'S ROTATION
On Tuesday, the Cleveland Indians optioned RHP Brian Slocum to Buffalo and reassigned RHP Adam Miller to minor league camp. Slocum was 6-3 with a 3.35ERA last season for the Bisons while Miller was the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year for Double-A Akron (15-6, 2.75ERA, 157K). Miller was also named the Indians #1 prospect by Baseball America.

BATTING HELMET GIVEAWAY ADDED
The Bisons have added to their already jam-packed promotional schedule. The team will give out 4,000 full-sized batting helmets prior to their 7:05 p.m. game against the Norfolk Tides on Saturday, June 23. The game is also the team's Faith Night, with pre-game tent concert by Hawk Nelson and an appearance from the Veggie Tales. A complete promotional schedule is available at Bisons.com.
