Portland, Maine- Wearing replica 1926 Portland Eskimo uniforms, the Sea Dogs made Hadlock Field a true Field of Dreams Sunday afternoon, defeating the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9-2 in front of 7,155 fans. The Sea Dogs have won four straight and eight of their last ten games. The 2010 Eastern League season comes to a close on Monday.

Spears joins Ralph Milliard (104, 1995) and Mark Kotsay (103, 1997) to reach the 100 run milestone. In the sixth inning, Spears blasted his 19th home run of the season, a two run shot. The home run ties Anthony Rizzo for the team lead. Spears drove in three runs on the afternoon.

The Sea Dogs may have started the game walking through a cornfield, they would continue to walk around the bases as New Hampshire pitchers walked 11 batters. Fisher Cats' starter Clint Everts walked six batters in three innings including a bases loaded walk to Che-Hsuan Lin that scored Anthony Rizzo for Portland's first run. Spears would also draw a bases walk in the seventh for Portland's eighth run.
Ryan Khoury broke a 2-2 tie with a RBI double, scoring Lavarnway in the fifth inning. Khoury added an RBI single in the seventh. Lavarnway and Khoury were the only Sea Dogs with multi-hit games on Sunday afternoon.
The Sea Dogs received strong pitching from Stephen Fife, Mitch Herold and Jason Rice to limit the Fisher Cats to four hits and two runs. Fife improved to an 8-6 on the season tossing five solid innings allowing two runs on three hits to earn the win. He walked two and struck out two batters.
Herold was outstanding tossing three scoreless innings of relief yielding just one hit. Jason Rice tossed a scoreless ninth to close out the game.
